Rango, a pet chameleon, is constantly searching for adventure and action, excluding the manufactured variety that he produces and stars in. He ends up in the quaint western hamlet of Dirt following a car accident. Water is the most important thing this community needs, but they also require a sheriff and a hero. The parched Rango assumes both roles right away and accepts egotistically to investigate the disappearance of their water.
