  You can join the Nigerian Military by being admitted and graduating from the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), Kaduna, where you will receive both academic and military training. After graduating from NDA, you will be given a degree certificate and join the Military as a commissioned officer.

  University graduates can apply for the Short Service Combatant Course (SSCC) or the Direct Short Service Course (DSSC) to join the Military. If you apply to join the Military through SSCC, you will see combat. You will join a combatant corps of the branch you applied to. If you apply through DSSC, you will join the non-combatant corps of the branch you applied to. This is mostly for professionals such as engineers, doctors, and lawyers.
