The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) is an examination body in West Africa.

They are responsible for organizing and conducting the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination across the West Africa States.

WAEC was established in 1952 and they are only responsible for conducting exams and issuing a certificate to only students in the English-speaking region of West Africa popularly referred to as the Anglophone Counties of West Africa.
